In this session, children become Time Scouts — explorers of great historical eras. They journey from ancient tribes to the digital age, stepping into the roles of hunters, philosophers, travellers, inventors, and pioneers of the future.
Each camp day brings a new era. Children dive into its spirit and key figures through interactive stories, themed stations, hands-on workshops, team challenges, quests, and bonding games. The goal: to live the time, not just learn about it.
Stone Age & Early Civilisations From fire-making and hunting to farming, crafts, and ancient Egyptian technologies — children will explore early societies, teamwork, and resource management. Antiquity (Ancient Greece & Rome) Philosophical debates, mythology, theatre, the Olympic Games, and Roman law will help build rhetorical skills, leadership, discipline, an understanding of political systems, and confidence in public speaking. Middle Ages & Age of Exploration By studying feudal society, medieval trades, shipbuilding, navigation tools and cross-cultural encounters, children will develop critical thinking, map skills, intercultural awareness, and the ability to interpret historical sources. 21st Century & The Future Through flight simulation, tech analysis, space missions, future scenario planning, and discovering new professions, campers will sharpen their research mindset, scientific curiosity, goal setting, and ability to design their own learning pathways.
Learning in the Field A historical quest at the Choirokoitia Archaeological Park invites campers to apply their knowledge in a real-world setting — completing missions, solving challenges, and experiencing archaeology hands-on.
Final Project On the final day, each group will present their favourite era through a performance, exhibition, game, or historical re-enactment. This is the culmination of the camp — where personal curiosity, teamwork, and the transformation of knowledge into real experience shine through.
